reading the answers already given, some people didn't read the question right, and some aren't creative. this guy never said HIS parents locked the ps2.

i was in a similar situation. i bought a ps2, and it had a code on it. which sucked. so i spent some time doing the 0001, 0002, etc... but then i started thinking about it. it's a four digit number... what are some four digit numbers...?

so i started doing from 1930-1999. a birth year. either a parent or a child. mine just happened to be 1987 which was probably the birthyear of a 16 year old that owned it before me.

give that a shot. other than that, just follow the one girl's advice and call the 800 number or go to a site or something

Try to think of what passwords your parents would use, like their bdays or favorite numbers or something. My dad conveniently used a password that I know he uses for other stuff and it worked for me. But you might not want to do it anyway, because I then got caught and got in major trouble.

There is no way, you just have to try it like this:

0001,0002,0003,0004,0005...

Good luck.
