I have a chocolate addiction and i dont know how to get rid of it becuz every time i had a bad day i'll eat like a whole bowl.. and an hour after it i'll think im getting fat so i'll do like 300 sit ups and go running... but my friends and school teachers keept telling me that i have a great body and that im really pretty. but i keep thinking im fat. What do i do about thinking that im fat (i think it ALL the time) and what do i do about my chocolate addiction? please help

Go to a psychologist to help with your self esteem/image problems. Then go to a nutritionist to suggest alternative comfort foods for your daily life.

Look up the suggested weight (or weight range) for your height...if you fall into that area, then you're not considered to be fat. Perhaps you simply have a very good/fast metabolism and that chocolate you eat, burns off...especially since you get concerned and exercise after you binge.

As for controlling your "addiction" you've got to really want to control it...when you get the urge to stuff yourself with chocolate, do something else instead...go for a walk...drink a lot of water to fill your belly...call a friend...go some place where there is no chocolate...

It doesn't sound so much like an addiction (from your description) but something you've gotten used to using as a comfort....if life isn't treating you well, chocolate will...

You need to learn to replace that chocolate with something more healthy...but it's still okay to have as a treat now and then...

Chocolate, as well as carbohydrates, cause a flow of Seratonin (the brains "feelgood" chemical)

It sounds like you're eating the chocolate as a comfort food and probably for the seratonin boost it gives you.

It also sounds like you may have a bit of a problem here due to the fact that you feel you have to exercise so much and that you feel you're "fat"

I would suggest talking with your school councelor or a trusted teacher or other adult. Talk to someone and get ideas on how better to treat this situation before it really gets out of hand as it could lead to other things.

As for the chocolate, enjoy it, but try in moderation. It's hard, boy do I know THAT one, but it can be done.

Ok........... lose the chocolate addiction, because you are eating so much of it that you are literally making yourself think that you are getting fat from it. Control yourself to eating chocolate once a week......... and thats it....... not alot either just like a candy bar or a small bowl of choc. icecream....... Quit over doing it and whoever told you once that you'll get fat from eating as much chocolate as you do........ tell them they are a lier and that you have a great matabalism and everyone knows that your pretty, and then continue rage beating the crap out of that person......... You are not fat........... people are NOT going to lie and say that you are skinney, pretty and have a nice body if you don't.... and by the way.......... what are teachers doing commenting on your body......... unless you are complaining to them that you are fat. YOUR NOT FAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can try finding a healthy substitute for chocolate...a yummy fruit or vegatable perhaps. Go online and see what other women weigh your age and height, and see how you are weight wise. Keep telling yourself you aren't fat! As long as you're healthy eating and excersising regularly then you will be perfectly fine!

well....i'm 13 and i'm going to try and major in phycoligy in college but i think you only think your fat because of the celebertie's today are like anerexic skinny and i think your chocolate addiction is negative mood activated and what i mean by that is if you have a negative mood at that time you'll eat chocolate.

try eating something low fat when u have a bad day like special ice cream and if ur thin look in the mirror to see that ur not fat

don't eat it!
when you want to eat chocolate, doo situps or have a granola bar or something---then u'll be proud and skinny!


Also while you are at it make your house a chocolate free zone, so like you dont let any chocolate in it.

most all of us love chocolate . try to moderate your intake . also they have some terrific low fat , and sugar free brands available .

eat some once a week no matter the craving think about something else like what boys will think when they see you
