I got the same thing months ago and nothing happened. It's a complete scam and it should be reported to Yahoo! for tracing and to alert them of this. Nothing will happen and I'm sure Yahoo! has MANY more IDs than just 2 million. If you include the USA and Europe then there must be millions more accounts than that.

That thing is a phishing scam designed to glean info about active e-mail accounts for a spammer. Take the time to go and trace the actual originating IP address and you will find that ROKSO (Registry Of Known Spam Operators) is actually listing the Bozo who started this stupid rumor. Next step is for the idiot to use his info and get spanked hard by Uncle Sugar and his courts.

I wouldn't worry about it. With AOL going free i don't think Yahoo is about to charge for accounts. Don't give these people your info, just email customer care and see what they tell you. Never click on a link in an email you don't know who it's from. :)

It is a hoax. Why people think yahoo has a maximum of only 2 million is beyond me. Besides the fact, there are over a trillion people in the world, how many do you think use yahoo?

False. If it was true you'd hear it from a legitimate source. They don't need you to post or send a message to see if your account is being used anyway.

Do you really think that the president of the company would send out an email that made him sound like he failed sophomore English? I think not.

You're kidding right? It's too good to be true! Only $10.00? Why didn't the talking Gecko tell me that? Do you have a twin sister named smelly cat? Just wondering.
