Good Question.

Remember that Scotland always voted Labour during the Thatcher ERA. The explains why.

If the Tories were in power you might get a token Scot, but not as many as Labour.

I have to disagree with the wee Engurlanders, who seem to have a problem with Scots voting on UK and English issues.

Part of the reason for the Scottish Parliament was exactly that in reverse.

Since 1707 this has been the other way round. The recent advent
of the Parliament was part due to the previous 12 years of Tory Power with only 1 or 2 MP's. Imagine being ruled by an party who got little or no support in your country.

It appears that the English only like it one way, their way, so no change there.....

Could it possibly be that the MPs who are best qualified for the job just happen to be Scottish?

Because they support Labour and Labour needs the Scottish Assembly in order to have the majority vote.

Good question.

Don't they have their own parliment to go to?

Surely English MPs should, in all fairness, be able to vote on scottish laws (which they cant).

It's worse than that - we rule the world.
Key players in government, business and industry are often of Scots descent.
I'm not proud of it - Rupert Murdoch is one - but it's one of those oddities.
The ones at home in the Scottish Exec. are third rate though.
