Lets say its 10 degrees C. You multiply 10 x 9 = 90. Then you divide that number by 5 = 18. Then you add 32 = 50 degrees F. You can do it in your head by approximation if you just multiply 10 x 2 (which is almost equal to 9/5) and then add 32 -- which would be 52 -- only off by 2.
