That's hilarious. Actually, I think its a regional thing. Like I'm in KY right now and they don't have a swap meet. But I grew up in South Central and they had one and I'm pretty sure they have one in Detroit cuz I went to school there for a year. So maybe white people in the right areas know, but even Black people in the wrong areas may have never heard of one.

LOL there are sexuak swap meets where couples swap partner for a bit and there are swap meets where it is just items for trade or barter.

A swap meet is when a group of individuals get together and trade items. For example, I make bracelets and you make earrings. We exchange products and then go on to the next individual who makes necklaces and we trade our products for his.

When I was in Girl Scouts we used to make little souvenirs and trade ours for another troops souvenirs.

We used to have ski swap meets all the time. Every one brings ski equipment to trade or sell really cheap.

I am amazed at this question. It's like asking, "Do White people know what a garage sale is?" or "Do people of color know what a clam bake is?" wouldn't know what a swap meet is???

I have never heard of a swap meet! Oh, I'm also not white. (Whaddya mean, that's obvious??? lol) But, it just SOUNDS like a place where you introduce YOUR friends to MINE and vice versa.
