Relax, High School is not as bad as it seems to be. Be friendly and courteous to others and don't be shy. If you feel like starting a conversation with someone who you feel might be a potential friend well go ahead. Take it a day at a time because someday soon all the days will hit you at once. Good luck and I almost forgot to mention that there's all kinds of clubs you can join in High School, like the Yearbook club, ASB club, Drama club, sports is good too, maybe you can get hooked on a sport and join. One thing though stay away from negative people and trouble makers as they're no good. Rightnow you're at the best years of your life when you'll start to form the path that you'll follow in your life.

Most incoming freshman classes come from more than one middle school. In other words, lots of freshmen don't know each other!!! One of the best ways to meet people is to join a club or participate in a sport. Ask around. Smile and relax. High school can be a lot of fun!.

Being New is hard, no bones about that. Being New & a New Freshman is doubly hard! Try to get yourself involved in something that interests you. Drama club, band, orchestra, womens history club, African-American club...whatever! I was a volunteer student athletic trainer for my high school. Every school has a paid trainer, but the use students to volunteer & do all of the grunt work. That will get you in the door. People will notice you, notice your skill, start talking to you & get you some friends. Good luck!

Be happy. You have a clean slate. Make new friends. I went to high school with two other people I knew from junior high school. I lost touch with them by the middle of sophomore year. I'm 26 now and I met my best and closest friends in high school. Some in college too. Don't worry.

In coming freshman come from different schools and not always have classes with people they know. You will in time meet kids your age. Join some of the clubs at the school and just be friendly.

You'll make new friends, that's not a problem I promise. Definately try out for sports or whatever you're interested in doing, that's the quickest way to meeting new people. Just be yourself, be firnedly...you're not the only one that will be new.
Don't worry about the rumors about high school, most of them are B.S. anyways : )

Now is a GREAT time to start over! No one knows you so they don't now if your weird and deranged or a great person. They may think your a little weird at first, but will soon get to know the real you. I would have loved to start over when I entered HS. I loved starting over when I started college. What a relief!
Good luck, I hope things go well for you.

Don't worry, I moved several times throughout school. You'll eventually start to make new friends. Plus, your grammar and spelling are excellent, so that should help!
