...its been about 8 months and you finally exchange numbers (only to keep in touch via text)

you text each other all day (about rubbish) and then the girl says

"there's no point wasting my time texting you when i will see you online later"

Would you get offended and how would you reply to this?

Btw, you are not strangers, you are a friend of a friend, and you live in different cities

[ Basically, i think i may have really upset a friend of mine by saying this ]

Age old problem; things you'd say sound totally different when you email or text them. Dont stress too deeply; tell him that you didnt mean offence but you know how it may have sounded now youve thought about it. If he has an issue with it after that then to be honest you probably HAVE been wasting your time with him!

Thats kind of harsh. If the girl didnt want to text anymore she should have been nice and said something like "ive got some stuff to do so Ill chat with you online later". Id be pissed.

no longer me ... perhaps as a results of fact i'm the right age to understand. Mature even although my female buddy lives completely in yet another state. Like I stay in Alabama and he or she lives in DC Out of know ? i don't have time to flirt or play with different women on line and notice a million/2 bare photos of alternative women. on the different hand. once I had a baby mentality and did no longer care/did no longer understand any further helpful ... I in all threat could have carried out each and each of the stuff you mentioned on your question. each and every each and every now and then whilst a individual learns/appreciates the which ability of having a buddy or having somebody they could believe around them and be close to to them. they have an inclination to no longer do something that could desire to come decrease back to chew them.

Maybe you could have been a little more subtle...It would have sounded like a rebuff to the other person. Just apologise and say "if they feel you were a little rash, then you didn't mean to"..good luck...

I think it came out wrong and a bit too harshly
Maybe you should have just said "I'm busy now so I'll see you online" or something

"there's no point wasting my time texting you", OUCH!!!!!

Give them a call, or go and see them (if not too far away)
get it off your chest, explain what you really meant.

If she wants to stay friends she will forgive you, eventually!

Perhaps a little prezzie?!

No offense should be taken, its cheaper to speak on-line than it is to text. it makes good sense

maybe she has a shine for this fella and dose,nt really know how to go about the situation, just leave her to it , after all it can only go two ways , laeve her to it and see how it turns out , difficult one.
