Well, I see it like this...there have been some mistakes made in the execution of the war in Iraq. However, the new government in Iraq is very young and very fragile and I think it would be DISASTROUS for us to just leave things as they are.

Do you know who is waiting for us to leave Iraq in this vulnerable, fragile state???? President Ahmadinejad of Iran. He wants to get his bloodthirsty hands on Iraq. He wants the Jews annihilated. He wants nukes so he can control the entire Middle East and to promote Hezbollah and other numerous terrorist groups.

So, since I value my way of life and don't want such a monstrous, evil man controlling my life, I think it's wise that we stay in Iraq until it is stabilized. You might say "how can Ahmadinejad control my life?" Well, terrorism would be much more uncontrollable and rampant if this man became more and more powerful. He wants to kill the infidels (Americans and other non-Muslims).

Hope this helps.

Read the State of the Union address in 2003, Bush lists everything there. It is interesting to see what the media has ignored as reasons and what they focus on now as well as the "Bush bashers" that can not answer a question about him without name calling.

I don't think Bush thought this war would drag on to the point of civil war. If you think about it, the war only lasted 30 days, but the occupation has been the problem. Bush and his people probably thought that after they toppled Saddam's regime, they would be able to rely on the Oil $$$$ to finance all their projects out there. But as you can see that is not the case.
