If your school also uses + and - then it is a 3.7. If it does not use +, then it might be a 3.5. It varies depending on the school

For sure it's not a 4.0 at a University, about a 3.7. So as long as you have an A- you can't get a 4.0. But thats still a good GPA

anything in the A range in a class with get you a 4
B range will be a 3
C range will be a 2
D will be a 1
and F will be a 0

then those are averaged together to get your GPA but there really is no grade associated with your GPA it is just a number that speaks for its self.
anything above a 3.5 is pretty good though.

3.5 and 3.0 seem to be common cut offs for things as well as 3.2 and 3.6.

A = 4.0, A- 3.69, B+ = 3.33, B = 3.0, B- = 2.67, C+ = 2.33, C = 2.0, C- = 1.69, D+ = 1.33, D = 1, D- = 0.67, F = 0

depends on the school.....but in mine it's about 3.8
