Oh, please! Been hospitalized for PMS!! That is a laugh! It sounds more like a mental disorder. I have had my period for over ten years now, I know all about it. It is just an excuse. That is why it is not even taken seriously anymore.

For some women yes. I've been hospitalized for it, however, so I don't think it's always an excuse. My husband does put me in my place when I'm grouchy to keep me aware of the problem. But on a bad month, I'm in so much pain I can't stand. I'm so tired, I sleep all day. And when I'm awake? I can't stop screaming and crying. I refuse medication (such as anti-depressants, not pain killers---- I'll always take pain killers), because this is something I can control. Like I said, my husband keeps me on my toes. I also eat healthy and exercise to keep the frequency of bad months low. And when I just can't take it anymore......... I scream, I cry, I wash my face, I get on with my day.

PMS and other hormonal changes can be so severe that it can be related to psychosis , anxiety disorders and panic attacks
If just one man had to go through any of these chemical imbalances there would have been a cure many years ago

It's not an excuse - but you are pretty much feeling like crap and you are moody - things just tend to piss you off a tad more than usual.
Oh well. It's weak women that use it as an excuse.

Yes.
Women always accuse men of being %$#holes for being controlled by our hormones, but then they turn around and say it's absolutely fine for them to do the same.

I do get PMS sometimes and it does make me feel b*tchy, but that's no excuse to be b*tchy. a woman should just apologize as if PMS had nothing to do with it.
