I got married a month and a half ago and my best friend of 12 years missed my wedding and has not callled to explain yet! I want to call him but I don't know what to say. I'm angry and yet at the same time hurt. My husband never really trusted him though. My husband always thought my friend was just waiting for me to be single so that he could make his move. I just thought my husband was jealous at the fact that I had a relationship with man other than him. But seeing that my friend didn't show up was my husband right all along?

Probably, but you should call him and talk it out. Twelve years is a long time to be friends. Don't just throw it away without talking to him. He is probably in love with you and devastated that you are married to someone else. CALL HIM! Also, if he is in love with you, you should probably end the friendship, as bad as that would hurt, because it can only cause problems in your marriage.

Not necessarily but maybe. You don't really know why he didn't show up what if he's hurt or had an emergency or had to leave the country or he's in jail I mean do you have any idea where he is or where he's been? If in fact your husband is right and your friend has actually liked you all this time then there is no need to be upset either one of you this poor guy has liked you for so long and now he knows he can't ever have you he has to be hurting. Can you blame him for missing your wedding what if he's in love with you I don't think I could watch someone I was IN love with marry someone else. You should watch Love Actually one of the stories in that movie is about a guy who falls for his best friends girl. Just listen to what he has to say and maybe that will help you decide what to do about your friend. Good Luck I know this can't be easy for you . . . see ya

I guess your friend was really hurt of the fact of you getting married because it seems like to me that he really liked you! Your husband may have right though..

I guess so. That's what I was going to say. Its been 1 1/2 mths. He was probably friends with you just waiting for his chance and now he doesn't have a chance at all so he stopped calling.

there are many possibility's in this situation. one: your husband could have been right.

two: something might have happened to your friend.

three: your friend might have been having family troubles.

four: he might have been jealous.

what i think is you should call him and set up a time for you guys to meet. then discuss the problem.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[P.S. feel free to bring friends or family.]

Maybe your friend has deeper feelings for you than you realized. Maybe he had fallen in love with you and could not fathom the thought of watching you get married to someone else...

Only HE can answer why he wasn't there...

I think your husband is partially right. He is in love with you, but one sided and didn't any guts to tell you. That's why when you got married he took himself out of the scene. Don't contact him, it may spoil all three of you.
