there are pros and cons to each. if you are rich you have ALMOST everything you need in life material wise. But when you are rich there is usually hubris involved so it could lead to your downfall like so many before you. if you you are humble then usually you are humble and pure in heart and have possesions that can't be taken away which is what you really need in life but other than that your life is terrible. Personally i like to where i am now in between :)

Being rich is definitely better than being poor.
Being rich means you don't have to worry about having a place to live or worrying about having enough money to pay the rent each month. There are no worries about paying bills or concerns about having enough money to eat. Rich people can have anything they want. They can afford a fancy house, a fancy car and all the luxuries associated with money. It is true that money can't buy love but if you are rich then you most likely have a spouse.
Being poor is a horrible thing. Having to worry about food, rent, shelter and just worrying in general. I am not poor but I wish I had more money to pay for things I want as well as things I need. I would choose to be rich any day and I would not let money change my personality one bit.

Non of those.
It is much better to have a good health than be rich. No money can make you healthy. What does it matter if you win the whole world if you lose your soul. (could be read as dead too) I have some friends who are very rich, but they are not happy at all. On the other hand I have net many happy people when I have been traveling around abroad, but I would not say that they were rich in money, but enjoyed the life.

Well it is better to be rich because you are not living on the streets but To really have a good life you want to be able to have family and friends that you can talk to and you are not all about what someone wears or what they look like being rich is better but if you are going to be rich and snooby, not have a good relationship with friends and family and material things are all you care about and you are going to act like that as far as friends and family it would be better social for poor it really depends if you are talking a bout material things and a better relationship with friends or family or how you act.

I would think that being rich would be better b/c if you are poor you are always stressed out weather it is not having enough money to pay the bills, car breaking down, or something unexpected happening that you cant take care of. If you are rich you always have money to pay the bills, your car will be nice and if it breaks down you can have it fixed the same day, you could travel to exotic locations, and live a carefree life..with only a few tough moments.

being poor is never good but each side has its points.
being rich obviously is better cause you have the means to supply what you need but being poor you will not know what it's like to be rich and you will not want for much since that feeling of having money hasn't been there before. if you have gone from rich to poor then i think that's the hardest cause your use to having what you need and want then your having to go without at all time.

I would be rich, so I could give back to my community. Being poor is a trap. You can't get out, there's a lower quality of life, etc. I'd be rich and happy.

Being rich would be good I'm sure, but at the same time it probably makes you addicted to money and an easy lifestyle.

Being poor probably sucks, but makes you strong.

in depth? what depth?

if the choice is a simple as that, it is better to be rich. More opportunities, more life to try and to live. It means to be able to study, to learn, to travel, to live.

Now, if you give more limits, then it may be different... money does NOT make up for everything, far from it.
