My wife has gained some weight since we first met. She complains that she looks fat, her clothes doesn't look good on her anymore, etc... I hate hearing her complain b/c I don't think she's fat at all, she weighs like 130. I tried to help her out by showing her some exercises she could do if she's really that worried about it but she hardly ever does them. I try to be really subtle when I give her advice as far as eating right and all that. Should I stop giving her advice since she doesn't seem to take it? I'm woried that if I don't give her any advice, she'll blow up and never stop complaining about how she wants to look.

Ultimately I don't think she wants advice or tips on how to lose. What she really wants is to know that you love her no matter what. Perhaps when she is sure of that she will not be so up tight and the weight that she thinks is excessive will take care of itself.

I find myself doing this with my husband too. when a woman gets married they say if she gains weight it is because she is satisfied. The only thing you can do is tell her u think shes still just as beautiful as she was the first time u met and just keep reasurring her. and if this doesnt help the next time u two go some where point out the men that look at her that way she'll see that she is still desireable. this might hurt u but it might help.

I think all women do this, but the best advice I can give you is not to say anything to her about diet or exercise. This will only make her mad at you, because she will think that you really do think she is fat. Just learn to live with it, and when she says honey do you think I'm fat....say oh no honey you are hot....that will shut her up for a few minutes...lol.

In my experience, women don't really want advice. They want confirmation and support. So, the next time she says something about being fat or unattractive, throw her down on the bed, rip her clothes off, and do her every way you know how until she says to stop.

If you want to help her eat right, the subtle way to do it is to change your diet. You guys aren't going to cook different meals, so buy something like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1594862923. Then tell her that you want to try it for yourself.

well instead of giving her advice or showing her what exercises to do (which is a way off admitting she's fat).. just tell her she looks great and doesn't need to lose weight but you'll support her whatever she does..

p.s. women always complain about their weight.. skinny or not so skinny...

Well, I'm pretty straight forward, so if it was me, I would tell her if it really bothers her, join a gym, eat right and make it happen. Otherwise, quit complaining about her weight. Then again, you do need a place to live....lol

That's trying to hit a moving target my friend. Give it up. If she is really sincerely worried about her weight, she and only she is responsible for it, not you. After all, she is the only one in the world that can really do something about it.

Just tell her that she is not fat at all and that you think she looks great and that you love her, that should do it.

You cannot help someone who isn't ready to help themselves. She may just be fishing for compliments right now, either that or she is depressed and needs to seek professional help for that.

LOOK JUST TELL HER HOW BEAUTIFUL SHE IS TO YOU AND THAT YOU WOULD LOVE HER IF SHE WERE 1000LBS. YOU ARE THE ONLY MAN SHE HAS TO LOOK GOOD FOR, AND IF SHE LOOKS GOOD TO YOU THEN THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS
