I'm assuming when you say 'Semitic' you are referring to the current use of the term as a synonym for 'Jewish.' And no, Mel hasn't got anything to do with it.

I think you'll find there is a larger, growing movement, away from religious groups in general.

We're in an era of true globalization. People who are willing to kill others for their religious beliefs no longer have the ability to keep their violence seemingly isolated to a small part of the world. That was never truly possible, anyway, but the impact of such violence is now right in everyone's face, visually and viscerally, as well as impacting the world environment in many other negative ways. If there is one thing that has been demonstrated plainly in the course of human history, it is that religion and governments are a lethal combination. Always. As we are seeing demonstrated yet again.

Israel, and Israel's supporters, represent one aspect of the current group of religious governments run amok. As does our oh-so-righteous, Christian-supported President, with his 'God spoke to me' justification for war, and Muslim extremist governments, from whichever country they hail. Believe me, they all engender a great deal of dislike for themselves amongst those who don't consider them either morally or ethically honorable.

Religion deeply divides societies. Those divisions are not one-sided; they are a deliberate, desired result of the propagation of religious doctrine. Many people, whether they believe in God or not, are starting to realize this, and to see how catastrophically destructive it can and will be, in this global high-tech era.

Anti-Semitic groups are NOT growing in America... Mel Gibson made a movie. He did not pass anti-Semitic legislation. The Jewish run motion picture industry has burned its own bridges...

This poor me Jewish pity party attitude has to stop! Jews get many things handed to them on a golden platter from the USA and they are so ungrateful... I can only conclude that you feel it is your divine right that someone else takes care of you and your problems... There are many good and honest Jewish peoples that work hard for a living. Do not drag them down with you and your excuses...

I have to say the arrogance of Israel as of late coupled with Mel's movie is really starting to pound in. I don't like a lot of Jews lately because of needless violence that for the most part was inflicted by them and not to them. I mean look at the hundreds of dead with TWO Israeli kidnapped soldiers causing all of the bs. That and the fact that arbitrarily invading countries because you feel you're in the right, doesn't exactly paint a rosy pictures for those of us in America who are already pissed off that billions of our tax dollars go to defend a country 24/7 I couldn't care less about. (By the way I'm talking about USA's support of Israel and not our occupation or Iraq or Afghanistan) If we stopped supporting Israel, you might see a significant drop in mid east violence and instability, as well as more full tax coffers that we desperately need now to re-invest in this country or continue our operations abroad. I'm just saying. . .

I don't think Mel has anything to do with it. Although I am not anti-Semitic, I think people are starting to feel angry that we seem to be going to war in the Middle East all the time because we back Israel. The Middle Eastern people that I know have told me this is their main gripe against America.

Because people are getting fed up with the "We are victims" song they constantly go on with. They have caused a lot of trouble in some places, they have stolen land from the Palestinians and caused the war there. I wonder what they would ***** about if WW ll had not happened. They forget that millions of other people were also killed in the Halocaust.

Because we Americans are waking up and realizing that we gave Jews too much power in our county. We now are wasting billions of out tax dollars on Israel because we have many Jews in our government. That’s money we could use to improve our highways, schools, healthcare and much more. Also Jews use Americans as protection against countries that hate them. So we get these terrorist who are attacking us because we protected Jews and Israel. Now we regret ever doing that because these terrorist are after us. If it wasn’t for the Jews we would not be at war with these terrorist or in Iraq and Afghanistan.
