CSLB is a huge institution. You should visit before deciding. It is not very personal. There is a difference between the reputation of an entire university and individual majors. Some colleges for instance have fine math departments but poor English Departments. You need to dig deep, talk with people who have gone there and are currently enrolled. CSLB for instance has a world famous Art Department, ditto Engineering. Does not mean that the Psych Department is any good. But if try try hard you can do well most anywhere you go, it is just somewhat more difficult.

It could be a very attractive environment because it will provide you with situation that many people undergoes, knowing that California is the among the top ten largest cities in the US. consider from a psychological points of view might be different from a criminology. I am majoring in Criminal Justice too.
