I dont think anyone wants to see Royals playing Indians in AL, unless you are from one of those cities.... With all the excitement now with Tigers, Yankees, Red Sox, White Sox, Angels and A's. does anyone really care about NL teams? Do they even have a chance of winning? To me its like watching Royals playing Indians whenever I watch NL games... (meaningless games)....

Yes, for the most part, it's pathetic, but there is a hope with the Dodgers and Mets. They are actually making the NL interesting, but still the NL is just pathetic this year. I still hold to my prediction from Spring Training that the Mets go over the White Sox in 6.

Any team has a chance to win the World Series, given that it's only a best four-of-seven. All you need is a couple of standout pitchers like the Diamondbacks had with Unit and Schilling in 2001, and you've got a shot. Same goes for 2003, when nobody gave the Marlins a shot, but their young guys shut down the Yanks.

As for the NL, I don't enjoy it as much as the AL, but that's because I've always followed those teams more closely due to geography. I don't think it's a lesser league, although I believe that the level of talent is higher in general in the AL.

AL Baseball is much more exciting to watch, in my opinion. With the pitcher having to bat in the NL, it generally means that there will be less offense for fans to enjoy, and most fans will tell you they'd rather see an 11-10 game, instead of a 2-1 game...

I don't think it's depressing, even though the quality isn't as high this year. But look at the standings, you still have like 10 or 11 teams with a legitimate shot at the playoffs. That's pretty exciting I think. It will really come down to the last week of the season with more than 2 teams competing for the last spot. It may not be the best teams this year, but it will be really exciting to see who catches fire and who crumbles under the pressure

Well, with attitudes like that, NL will prolly win. If you do not give them the respect that they are real baseball teams and real professionals, you are going to get beat. Yes, the teams right now are slumping. Most are dealing with aging line ups and a drained farm system. However, that will not last long, otherwise there will be some General managers looking for jobs too.

What about the Mets? There one of the hottest teams in the League. And you only listed 5 AL teams out of 15. To me, it seem like both the AL and NL are dying.

Have you heard of the Mets? They are having a breakout season and I personally think are the most exciting team in baseball right now. I don't need to watch the Yankees and the Red Sox battle because its been happening for so long. People expect them to win. The mets are shoving it in everyones faces right now and its AWESOME.

You mean you're not excited with a league that has 5 teams (out of 16) over .500 and the wild card leader is 4 over?

(Whereas in the AL, there are 9 teams out of the 14 over .500 with the wild card leader is 25 games over.)

It's like saying the Sun Belt Conference is as exciting as the Big Ten.

That is because the NL is boring. Route for the Yankees; they have more World Series titles than any other team, AL or NL.

As an A's fan I would say that the NL is boring, but the Dodger aren't doing so shabby..
