I think im fat, im still in middle school, i am 5'8, and weigh 159 pounds, is this fat? If so,how can i loose the weight, people are making fun of me!!!

Your BMI (body mass index) is 24.17. Anything under 25 is considered a healthy weight. Don't worry about what others say. If you feel good then great. If you want to loose some weight that's fine too but make sure you do it for yourself and no one else.

5'8" is kind of tall, so your weight doesn't seem to high and it depends on your body type. If you are athletic it is probably mostly muscle weight.
If you want to lose weight watch what you eat and maybe start walking everyday if you can. Walking will really help drop pounds and tone up your body.
You are pretty good size for being in middle school, but don't let the losers that are making fun of you get to you. People like that are insecure and don't like something about themselves so making fun of other people makes them feel better about themselves.

No you aren't fat! You are pretty tall and your BMI is about 24, which is healthy. You shouldn't diet at your age; try eating fruits and vegetables everyday and cut out junk food. Don't count calories, just eat right. Also, you should exercise everyday, too. Try doing something fun that you enjoy like dancing or playing a favorite sport. It's always more fun if you exercise with friends. Don't do these things to loose weight, do them to be healthy and feel good about yourself. You'll feel great in no time!

First of all, ignore the jerks who have the nerve to make fun of you. Only lose weight if YOU want to - not because people are teasing you and think you should. You aren't fat, but if you'd like to lose weight, try taking a walk every morning, not snacking in between meals, and drinking a lot of water. If you exercise (walk, run, etc.) every day for 30 minutes, I guarantee you'll see some real results. Good luck!

You are only about 20 pounds over weight. The best advice i can give you is to eat things like fruits, veggies, white meat and stay away from junk food! if you keep away from junk food and eat healthy your body will start to prefer the food that is better for you over the food that is not. you also need to get up and out, take up a sport. You will make new friends and stay in shape. A really good thing to go for a work out is kickboxing. most of all you need to be happy with yourself

First off, muscle weighs more than fat. Secondly, if you want to lose some weight, then eat right and exercise. The below websites will tell you some exercises.

chelsea... you are tall! and your weight may be proportionate to your body. the fact that you are in middle school and you are this size is a little awkward, but high school is coming soon and before you know it, you won't feel huge. hang around people that appreciate you for who you are, and people that look like you. take some glamour shots and know that you are unique..... not everybody else's idea of what you should or should not be..... i don't know you, but keep your head up and i'm spreading a little love your way! keep in shape though and get on an exercise routine for your all around general health. it helps in the long run. pick up a sport at school.......... good luck!!!

Thats stupid if ppl make fun of u just ignore em they are the stupid ones. 150 is a lil over weight for 5'8 but dont stress ur still young. im 5'9 and i weigh 115 so i guess i dont really know what its like to b over weight but i do know u can loose it, but u have to try really hard. Belive it or not i have a friend named chelsea and shes over weight to. were both going into 7th this year and at our old school ppl used to make fun of her. So i started sticking up for her and ppl started not to like me bc of it (and i was the most popular girl there to) and thats when i realized they werent my real friends. she was. and now i have a reallly good friend and it doesnt bother her when ppl tease her anymore. and i got her confidence up and shes starting to do sports and loose weight.

**** them you just need to worry about loving yourself and i dont think that your fat cuz you are tall and that has a lot to do with your weight. but if your that concerned try eating meals. like breakfest, small lunch, and dinner. Not eating enough will cause your body to store the fat then you will be starving for nothing. Do it the smart way.

first off if you think you (and only you) need to lose some weight start off by not eating after 7pm and eat normal portions of food no seconds. also cut off sugar it you must eat some let it be minimal. and start working out since your still in school you might not have acess to the street or gym so in your own room do a set of jumping jacks, push ups, crunches and do it for an hour a day remember stretch anything else? email me
