Ebay is a great place for inexpensive ones in all sizes and colors. Beware of shipping charges on the ones shipped from overseas, they can be VERY pricey!

The ones with the tight ankles are called "Churridar" spelling may not be correct on that.
I am not Indian but I have worn Salwar-Kameez in the past and have had nothing but a nice reaction from both south asian and non-asians. It is a very flattering and lovely clothing style no matter what your body shape or height.

hilalplaza.comor type in islamic dress and go to web site but i have found Hilal plaza to be the cheapest .Dearbourn Michigan has a whole Islamic community that has many many islamic stores and great prices,I dont know how far you want to travel.They are very comfortable and look very nice.I am Muslim and the Islamic center has functions there where they sell used clothes.It would not offend me if you wore them and i dont know what tight leg pants your talking about.
