I feel as if my life is a house of cards, if i remove something or lose something from it everything will come crashing down. How do i stop worrying about things so much? Does hypnotism work?

I don't recommend hypnotism. You're already hypnotized. We all are. And what do you mean, if you remove something? Are you just saying that your daily life illusion is so fragile that you don't know how much longer you can keep up the farce? Where is the problem? At work or at home? And if it's at home, who with mainly? Your spouse or your kids?
It's really really hard to know who we are. We peel back one layer and there's more layers that we can't even get to yet.

Meditation or religion. Either path can be really helpful to someone in your situation...actually to anyone, for that matter.

Meditation is the practice of training your mind. In the same way you exercise your body, meditation helps you control your mind and emotions. When you have too much stress or worries, meditation is a tool that you can use to cut away the negatives and be objective. In a way, many, many of the world's problems are because of people who are unable to control their own minds.

Religion can also be a way to center yourself and control your mind and emotions. Unlike meditation, you find peace in something other than yourself. In meditation, you find peace within yourself. Both are equally valid and effective...it's up to you to decide which is more helpful for you.

If you do decide to look further in meditation, I highly recommend books written by Thich Nhat Hanh. 'Peace is Every Step' has been a life changing book for many people, and it's only 132 pages with large text. You can easily read it in one night.

You should only worry about things you actually have control of. Try to imagine your life as many different houses made of cards. Lots of little ones. Don't group it all together. Keep things seperate that aren't really related. That way, if 1 blows over, it's easier to rebuild. :)
Life is mostly about how you react to your problems. Bad things will come your way, that is a fact. Usually, you can learn from them and in turn build your houses out of something stronger instead of cards.

Focus on yourself then spread out what's left of your heart and mind. But don't forget yourself. You must love yourself in order to love another. That doesn't fall just into the romance category that's also in the "life" category. First things first. If you have enough on your plate and you feel you can continuing giving more of yourself to other obligations, responsibilities, loved ones, hobbies, whatever...then do it. If you have a doubt don't worry or stress about it. Being non chalant is having a laid back attitude. You don't need that you just need to take of yourself and the rest will fall in place. That's my feeling about it.

Perhaps you need to re-evaluate what is truly important in your life. I'd suggest taking a trip to a third world country or a developing nation. Often those types of experiences can give you the perspective on what is needed in your life to make you happy versus what is wanted based on your cultural and our societal norms.
