when I was thirteen, my family lived in Stockholm at the time and I got a job going from appartment complex to appartment complex dropping advertisemnts in peoples mail boxes. In Sweden the regular mail doesn't deliver junk mail, you have to hire people seperate to do it (cool law, maybe fewer people would send junk mail in the states). And most appartments weren't like the ones I've lived in in the states where there was an area at the entrance of the building where everyones mailboxes were, I had to run up the stairs or take the elevator, and drop one in the slot in each appartment door. It was a lot of fun though, I listened to my walkman a lot and was in good shape.

When I was 8 I got paid .25 each to clean out horse stalls. I got a riding lesson once a week on Saturday. When I saved up enough quarters I could go to a horse show. They always laughed at me for paying my entry fee in quarters, but I knew the value of money and what it meant to earn something that I wanted.

I was 16 when I got my first job and it was at a library...putting up the books on the shelves. It was a very boring/easy job that didn't pay well. Oh well though.

guess I was a late bloomer.
started at 18 as baby sitter, by 19 I was teaching high school for replacing teachers. as it was paying well, from that I only moved to a full time job.

It was sort of wierd though teaching 14 yrs old at 19... sometimes very close calls!!!
