there's a very good rotating 3-d globe that when clicked upon will give you the nearest city..printed on it's site and will also give you the time and longitude/latitude at that location and it's rotatable!!!!i have it on one of my desktops!!!!it will show realistic terrain coloring or just city lights from space also!!!!!i believe it came as a bonus with a "multimedia" pack!!

Yes, Google Earth's a good place, but also try your community's city web page. They usually give the LAT and LON, and sometimes the elevation. Or, If you have a friend with a GPS unit, they can tell you.

I think that if you go to www.wunderground.com (weather underground); click on your state; then your town or city, when the forecast comes up, your geographical location in terms of lat and long are also indicated there.
