Are they really that stupid? Isreal destroyed their towns and villages - nothing is left. Now the Lebanese army will take control and Hezzbollah will no longer be allowed to operate as a state within a state - which means they LOST. Also - 950 muslims dead compared to 150 Israealis - who do you think won the war?

Simple - they are Iran & their nation is controlled by a religion. Therefore they have no use for logic or science unless it furthers their agenda.

Exactly why the founding fathers of the USA wanted seperation of church and state.

Iran's leader claims victory because the Hezbollah withstand Israel Army for more than a month. Although the terrorist side suffered more casualties, anything other than total devastation of the Hezbollah by the Israelis doesn't considered a victory to Israel. In order for Israel to win this, it should have killed the leader of Hezbollah - which they didn't. The kidnapped soldiers should have been realist - and they are not.

I don't believe that the forces that are going to be deployed in Lebanon going to prevent the terrorist from rearming and from attacking Israel again. I don't think that this cease fire is going to hold water. I thing that the next war is around the corner with Iran. Iran was just testing the water, and for sure the Arab world feel much more confident because they are not totally devastated - unfortunately.

And for Israel - I hope that there will be no need for another war, but with this crazy fanatic person that leads Iran - its seems inevitable.

Please stop quoting propaganda and look at the facts.

In the conflict (war, whatever you want to call it) the two groups had differing goals.

Israel's was to destroy Hezbollah 100%, this has not yet been accomplished, thus Israel has not yet succeeded. Israel also has shown the world how extremist it is, Olmert is unlikely to hold power once elections come through again, etc. This is an obvious failure of Israel's extreme reaction policy.

Hezbollah's goal, what we know of it, was to hold back the Israeli invaders. They have successfully done that. Israel did not gain any control of Lebanese land. Hezbollah also has seen more support in the past month both from the Arab community, and even globally, than they have ever had, and probably could have hoped for.

Victory is not measured in bodies, defeat is and the body count has to be >= 1 for a fight to be a loss. Victory is in meeting your victory conditions. As of right now Hezbollah has met one and gotten an extra bonus, Israel has gotten none and lost things it once had. By this standard Israel is a clear loser.

From my remote personal perspective I think it takes some doing to stand up with handheld rocket machines against 30.000 soldiers in a flood of the heaviest of tanks supported by flying machines and naval gunships ! To survive an onslaught like this for 34 days is a feat worthy of Gods Army. Even if I do not share their fanaticism.

I never thought of it as a war. It was a police action which i feel split feelings about. I saw a lot of BS from Iran. I would like to see Israel kick Iran's asss. Hezbollah can not claim victory. They lost hundreds of terrorists and hide from IDF at every exchange. It shows the true cowardliness of the Islamic terrorists. Then to add to the laughable the Lebanese people come back home flying Hezbollah flags. I would like to see Israel take the gloves off and Make a Parking lot out of Lebanon. If you consider having your entire country destroyed in a few weeks a victory then you need to see a shrink.

well iran technically was correct because out of the 150 israelis killed more than 90% were soldiers in the army and out of the 950 lebanese that were killed less than 5% were Hezzbollah militants. the rest were innocent civilians that had nothing to do with the war. which means that more israeli soldiers were killed that Hezzbollah members.

They probably wanted that to happen. So in a way they did win but so did the other side. You can have your cake and eat it to if you believe hard enoth. Or at least you can fool yourself into believing it or something... At anyrate the fact that more muslims where killed compared to the israealis might or might not mater as much as how and who they where that got killed. GGFA Gods Grace For All. :)

Propaganda. Who won matters not one iota. Who you think won is more important. If the Arabs now perceive that Israel can be defeated then they will be more confident next time.
