Die for Darkseid

2006-08-15 09:35:02 · answer #1 · answered by geejtopia 5 · 1 0

Although Darkseid's omega beam/effect is suppose to be able to teleport anyone anywhere or erase them from existence, Doomsday has survived it. So i would have to say Thanos being a titan and immortal because death won't let him die, would survive it also. Now they both have tremendous strength, both are very smart. But Darkseid has trouble taking over earth or new genesis and thanos has had the whole marvel universe in his hands at one point of time so i would have to say Thanos is the winner

As is, they are too evenly matched to call a winner right this second.
However, if Thanos has the Infinity Gauntlet, then that will give him an edge going in, but considering Darkseid has yet to face them in any of the DC/Marvel crossovers he's been in, I have no idea how much he would be affected by them.
But then again you also have to remember that both will use every underhanded trick they can whenever the opportunity presents itself, so in any event, it would be a pretty interesting match to watch, from a VERY safe distance.
Sorry I could not have been of more help on this one.

Darkseid's Omega Beam is a form of energy that fires from his eyes can do concussive force, disintegrating energy, capable of transmuting, erasing living objects and organisms from existence as well as resurrecting them depends on Darkseid. He is immortal and can travel at maximum speed. He also has strength can match on with Superman, Doomsday and his son Orion. Darkseid is a god in the DC Universe. He can also shoot energy blast from his hands
He can increase his physical size. Darkseid has also have the power of telepathy and telekinesis and can create psionic avatars.

Thanos is a mutant of a race called Titanian Eternals. Thanos has strength, stamina and durability. He can absorb and project vast quantities of cosmic energy and capable of telekinesis, telepathy and matter manipulation. Thanos has a transportation chair capable of space flight, force field projection, teleportation, time travel and movement through alternate universes. He also has the gauntlets with the power gems of Time, Space, Soul, Reality, Power, Mind

That's a VERY tough call. People forget that Darkseid has the power of the Omega Effect: not only to destroy his opponent, but to wipe out his very existence, so that he never was-- retroactively changing the past!

(I don't know if DC has eliminated that-- it was never played up very strongly, but when Darkseid wiped out DeSaad [and later re-created him], that is what he claimed to have done. As far as I know, this is a power no Marvel character has ever claimed.)

I think that Darkseid must be about equivalent to a Marvel Elder of the Universe. If you read carefully the origin of Apokalips and New Genesis in the first issue of New Gods (as opposed to same old gods or new improved gods) the two planets reflecting love and hatred sprang from a 'Ragnarok'-like cataclysm that shattered their ancestral home in half. Jack Kirby, the artist, could not eliminate Thor (since he was at that time working for DC and not Marvel) but he did the next best thing. So I consider the new Gods an evolutionary step up from the Asgardians and Olympians. Perhaps they are all like Eternals. But surely Darksied and Izaia the Inheritor, who became Highfather, are equivalent to Elders of the DC universe.

Thanos. Like the person above me, this fight is too hard to be decided who the winner is. Still I'd go with Thanos because because Death loves him, and won't let him die, in other words Thanos is immortal. Both are super smart and super strong, they both have their planets, but Thanos is immortal.

Now if Thanos had the Infinity Gauntlet, the fight would be over before it started. He is stong enough to destroy the universe.

Winner: Thanos
