One can rightfully assume that if you able to ejaculate you can have a child. One of the components of semen is sperm....Sperm + egg = fertilization.
Now if the question is that you know this basic part and you are trying and the female is not getting pregnant then you need to have the sperm count done. Sperm counts are done in a dr.'s office where they send you in a room to masturbate they then anaylize the semen for the amount of sperm in the sample.

Go to the Dr. and have a sperm count test. They probably call it something else though, like maybe a - dang, the answer just flew outta my head! Well for women, it's a fertility test. Sorry, I probably didn't help much, but talk to your Dr.

Have the doctor test your "swimmers." All that happens is you provide a semen sample, then the doctor sends it to a lab where they examine/run tests on it, and then send a report to your doctor as to whether or not you're fertile.

Get your sperm count checked at the local clinic.
Being heterosexual also helps.
