Oh gosh, yes. I ONLY discussed it with my mother, but even then, some of the details were a little embarrassing to mention. You'll find honest answers only from them...trust me, your friends have no clue. I've been there.

yes it's normal BUT you really need to know how important it is to talk to them about it! What you know or don't know about sex can literally save or change your life forever! And knowing all about it and how to protect yourself is vital in this day and time. If you don't get help from your parents at least try a school councilor! It's worth it but you will not fully understand how important education of sex is until you are an adult!
Good luck and don't be shy

Yeah, it is very normal. when it comes to that subject, you may feel nervous to talk to your parents about it and even your parents may be nervous to talk to you about it. That's because sometimes they have to find a way to describe it to you so that you understand it. Like the birds and the bees. But don't worry, many people are just like you. When you feel like you want to talk to your parents about it then go right ahead. Just do it when you are ready to do it.

Yes, I'm 25 and it's still an uncomfortable situation. I guess most people just don't want to think about their parents as sexual beings, but hey they had to have had sex at least once otherwise you wouldn't be here.

Yes, it is very normal. However I feel that you must be at the very least over the age of twelve and just how much your parents wish to discuss with you will be just as difficult for them. Hopefully they will understand about your natural curiosity and be as frank as it is possible with you.
Let them know that you understand that it must be difficult for them but that you prefer to get your information from the people who are responsible for nurturing and loving you and that you want to learn to be able to talk to them and have them guide you as to what you should know and how soon you should know it.
Unfortunately, we talk a whole lot about sex in America, it permeates our culture and yet we just don't get the importance of being open and honest with our children. I don't believe that one has to be explicit but there are just too much bad info and influences out there for parents to be afraid to speak to their children about sex and its ramifications.
Good luck and be very careful out there!

Yes. Because you feel they would be like OMG you did it???? Or just embarassing when they say to your friends, "remember the TALK we had yesterday' or whatever
It's fine, but they are the best to go to about sex.
