At this point, we do not know all the agents that cause diseases, and many still exist that we do not know about. The ever changing mixing of societies and opening of borders introduces new diseases and agents to a population. So, a cure may not be known for all of these.
Also, diseases, mutagens and agents continue to mutate everyday. For instance, some bacteria have become resistant to antibiotics that were at one point effective are now useless. This situation shows a perfect instance where medications have caused a stronger disease than previously known.
As both a christian and scientist I have conflicting opinions. However, I can say that at this point there is no time which all diseases will be cured. Only at the end, will diseases be erradicated.
