THis is a tough question if you are asking who is the best pure passer of all time it is Marino but the QB position has a lot more then just pure passer. Heck Jeff George had a great arm but was only a decent NFL QB. You have to take into account leadership, ability to ready a defense, clutch performances, and a host of others. My list is as follows:

1. John Elway
2. Joe Montana
3. Dan Marino

1 Montana .....4 Rings need we say more?
2 Favre.....3 MVPs a ring, and a ton of records
3 Marino..... A ton of records...but they will all be broken
4 Brady.....3 Rings and a couple SB MVPs
5 Manning.....2 MVPs and future passing records holder......

when/IF he does get all the records then he will jump too 4 and Brady too 3 and Marino too 5.

Marino was the best pure passer, but did not win SBs or a ton of MVPs. If you look at his last 5 years he was a 20 TD pass 3,500 yd passer unlike favre who is a 28 TD pass 3,700 yd passer and aside from last year a 10 game winner every year.

Their have been many great Quaterbacks, but Tom Brady stands out. He passed for 4000+ passing yards this past season. Even with the loss of David Givens, just look at his stats. His ability to see and read opposing Ds and his QB vision, he can find open players and pass with perfect precision and timing.

Here is my list of great QBs

1. Tom Brady
2. Peyton Manning
3. Joe Montana
4. Dan Marino
5. Bart Star
6. Johny Unitas
7. Steve Young

Peyton Manning.........sorry to inform you, but he is going to break most (if not all) of Marino's records.

But Marino is a great guy and an awesome analyst, and he definitely deserved to get into the HOF.
