You know, with vast amounts of information available to any schmo at the click of a mouse... with Wikipedia and zillions of topical sites out there... why is it that nearly everyone on a blog, chat, or forum seems to be aggressively braindead? Not to mention all the psycho, militant nincompoops walking the streets who are too stupid to even get online.
I mean, sure you have a lot of intelligent, thoughtful people out there... but they DO seem to be a miniscule minority in this sea of wackos, losers, and imbeciles. To top it off... the stupider someone seems to be, the more ferverent and unwavering they are in their idiotic opinions. Go figure.

its called the dumbing down of America. Started a long time ago instead of increasing the children's ability to learn they lowered the standards. So people graduating from high school now do not know as much as they did 25 years ago. They slow the smart ones down to keep up with the slow learners. Use to be they could divide children up into 3 croups and teach them at their speed. Not allowed any more but they make them all learn at the speed of the dumbest student.
Now most of these people could answer their own questions by going to yahoo search and finding the information. but the board is fun . Takes up my time where I would normally just be reading. Right now my foot is injured so I can not garden or walk a lot. So here I am with you reading these questions and sorting through the dumber ones.

I couldn't agree more with your appraisal. Those you refer to near the end figure that, since they can be a faceless person hiding behind a computer, and also the fact that they are anonymous makes them a lot braver than if they were face to face. I am betting that they don't behave like this in public. The porn, the insults, the crudeness are probably almost non-existent around their friends, family and co-workers.
