Tomatoes have had a strange year this year.
Mine are still green for the most part.
The large ones that is.
I have a couple of plants that grow the million kind (small) and they have been going nuts big time. My larger tomatoes though have been doing the same thing as yours and some are actually getting ripe now.
It is not just me and mine either.
I asked my mom and a couple of people that I know that have gardens and they all said the same things.

Sounds like bloom rot. Do they start to rot at the bottom where the bloom would have been? The deep ridges are dependent on what variety of tomatoes you are growing. German pinks and Mr. Stripes usually look like that, also a purple variety, not found everywhere, will develop the ridges. Tomatoes ripen from heat not light so go ahead and pull a few, take them inside and store them in a single layer on a table or flat surface. It's better than letting them rot on the vine.

Tomatos are frunn, the deep creases are fine, dont worry, but the ones that are green still, they just need to grow more. My grandfather grows a TON of tomatos every year, trust me.

We live in Michigan and it has been a lousy year for tomatoes here. I don't know where you are, so I can't give you any advice. However, I fertilized and watered like crazy and foliage is dying off already -- I did not get many tomatoes at all.
Maybe better luck next year??

By creases do you mean cracks? If you don't water them enough they will crack, and in this heat we're having that is "really" easy to do. I had terrible luck with my tomatoes this year so I feel for you.

Sounds like that you are watering them to much. Try watering them with a 2/3 less water. The fruit is absorbing too much water.

You are probably not keeping them watered thoroughly and consistently. Proper watering keeps them plump as they expand. Water lack results in blossom-end rot
