start with renting per job. if you can schedule two jobs in one day your making money. when you are rolling then buy new, good stuff that will last. one piece at a time after you pay your bills. in no time you'll have all your own stuff and xcan then rent additional if you get real busy.

You can rent floor sanders and things you need to get started. Then once you build your business you can buy the equipment. Don't go in debt unless you have to! That is what kills most new businesses!

Start out installing prefinished floors. Then build up the custom flooring business from there.

sure you can rent from home stores but, home depot frequently sells thier rented tools! see what they have for sale before buying new, best of luck with your new biz!
