I live in southern Kentucky Zone 6, and the containers would be in full sun. I don't need any thing really large, I would prefer fruit trees but would also like blossoming trees. I enjoy all types of plants. I grow my veggies in containers as well as a large variety of flowers, but I have no experience with trees or shrubs yet.

Trees require a lot of water. If grown in containers their root run is limited. If they are in full sun all day, & especially if it is windy, the leaves may transpire more water than the limited roots can replace, resulting in premature leaf drop.
