walk around alot and have sex. this sounds really out there, but sex stimulates the uterus and may even thin your cervix... (that's what happened to me and relations were not rough.) Massages (back and feet) and nipple stimulation can cause contractions as well.... good luck!

Get your doctor to tell you exactly what is going on. There could be a medical reason for this that you're not aware of. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you only that the longer the baby stays in you as the mother the more risks come up from things like crowding in the stomach and things like that.

But part of that view from me comes from the fact that I was 10 days early and a horse compared to other babies. I can't imagine what would've happened if I had stayed in for those 10 days since I'm 15 now and 6'2".

Get a new doctor if he hasn't scheduled induction immediately! It is not acceptable to be more than 14 days overdue unless there is a very good explanation. At that point, the risk to the baby of your continuing to be pregnant starts to rise sharply.

Ask your OB why he/she's letting you go so long overdue. Most doctors don't wait more than one week at the most past the due date before they're scheduling an induction or c-section. It's possible his/her calculations about your due date were off. 18 days is a big miscalculation.

i was 42 weeks when i had my 1st. over by 14-15 days. My doctor actually called me and said come in and we will induce you. and the same with my 2nd, still never came along, so i called the hospital and said i fell just so i can have the baby :-) i wanted it out so bad. so they said come in and we'll induce you. im preg with my third, dont know what it feels like to go into labor.. maybe ill experience it this time, if not... well induced again. i bet you want it out by now. i guess wait? or call to asked to be induced? if the except that. some dont i suppose. so i say call the hospital. i wish you the best of luck, congrats.

It can be dangerous for you and the baby to go that far overdue. Talk to your doctor about an induction.

Get a second opinion fast. How often are you going for ultrasounds. once you are 7days over due you should be getting one every 2 days so they can monitor the baby, YOU SHOULD NOT BE GOING into your 43 week, after 42 weeks the placenta starts to disintegrate....breakdown, either your dates are really wrong and they are not communicating that or you need to talk to your OB.... or get to a clinic fast.....

You need to go on to the hospital and to hell with your doctor, if your baby has a bowel movement and they usaully do it could be very dangerous even life threatening to your baby. I have never heard of any doc letting you go over 2 weeks simply because the baby starts to have bowel movements.

I have heard that having sex with an orgasm can trigger labor. Do you or your doctor not believe in induction? I am almost nine months pregnant and my doctor said that 14 days is the longest time he will let me go over my due date. Good Luck !

Please don't think I'm crazy but my doctor and I were discussing this the other day and he told me that nipple stimulation will most always start labor, but he told me not to do that unless I was under Doctor supervison at a hospital because it speed's thing's up like 10 time's faster than anything. Good Luck
