It's an interesting question. On the one hand, there are 200 billion stars in our galaxy and the same number of galaxies beyond. On the other, nothing can travel faster than light, most of all something as massive as a spacecraft, and we have no evidence of visitation. I think therefore aliens do exist, but the universe is a lot bigger and more sparsely populated place than Star Trek etc. would have us believe. It takes LIGHT four and a half years to reach us from the nearest star (Proxima Centauri), so just saying hello will take nine years. We're just not wired up to comprehend the truly awesome scale of our cosmos.

There is no proof that aliens exist, but most thinking people would agree that it's a reasonable possibility. However, all the crap about alien abductions and flying saucers is a load of rubbish. If there are aliens, there is no way they could visit because of the huge distances between stars (and relying on "warp drive" like on Star Trek is ridiculous). It might be possible to pick up radio transmissions, which SETI is trying to do, but even that would require a huge amount of luck.

Aliens do exist and they probably do live amongst us - you notice the more extreme weird people out there? Well, it's not them, it's the quiet ones trying to fit in, they're the ones! The truth is out there as they say but the Govt etc are holding all the cards, thinking we'll have mass panic over it, I mean, look at the panic at Christmas all the food goes and the shops are only shut for a day, humankind are the people we need to watch out for, aliens are not the problem!!

Why not ask Gary McKinnon ?
He's currently subject to an extradition request from the United Kingdom to the USA at the request of the US government who alledge that he caused hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage to NASA's computers.
Gary insists that the reason he's actually being extradited to the US is that whilst looking around the computers in NASA and the Pentagon he found evidence of the existence of alien life forms and their associated technologies, including how to make abundant free energy, being suppressed by the US administration.
Why not read the interview the BBC did with him and work out for yourself whether you think his story's credible. I would put a link to it here, but every time I try the URL gets truncated.
The interview is part of the site of
http://news.bbc.co.uk
and can be found by doing a Yahoo! search for:
"Gary mckinnon" + "NASA"

As yet extra terrestrials have not yet been discovered. There is no definite fixed proof. However an alien can also mean a person who doesn't quite fit in. And we all know they exist.

Ok..a serious answer to your question:
There is no proof of alien existence, only speculation. No scientific proof has ever been offered to prove alien existence.
No proof of Martians....no man on the moon...etc.
Only recently has NASA been able to document that there are rudimentary chemicals on the surface of Mars that MAY, I repeat, MAY suggest that life could have at one time existed on that planet. No proof of anything yet.

We do. Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species and your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

It depends what you mean by "alien." If you mean life, then yes, most likely. If you mean something bigger than an ant, then I'm not sure. If there exist bacteria on earth that can live in boiling water or inside ice caps, they can surely exist on Mars or Venus. Who knows? And if they're in another galaxy, we'll probably never find them, anyway.

Yeah they exist all right. They are the ones that wear anoraks - another give away is that they wear the hoods up.
the remit given to aliens is to fit in with humans, unfortunately they try too hard and get it totally wrong.
