Definitely Optimum Online. I just got it a couple of weeks ago. I've had DSL and dial-up before and wow, is it a difference! Pretty much, Optimum is about 15 times faster than dial-up and 2-3 times faster than DSL. There aren't many errors with Optimum Online, and service and virus protection are also provided with installation. Cheapest, yes, especially when you also get iO digital cable and Optimum voice in their Triple Plan thing (really cheap and nice plans there too). Hope I helped!

RCN, available in a lot of metro areas. They have bundles that include high speed internet, cable, and phone. Their download speed (at no extra charge) is 10 megabits per second. Most of the other companies offer 2, 3, or 7 megabits per second.
