Sorry guys, I have a dell, it won't find the hard drive, but it will find the cd rom, what's up with that?

do not put a pin or anything in the tiny hole just below the actual drive, un-till ther power has been remove from the back of the pc some idiots tell you to do that with out saying remove the power frist there the stupid people always remove the power frist befor you put a pin in tiny hole just below the actual drive,

ok click on start / run ..type in the box
msconfig
click on ok
then on the box that pops up click on services tab
now look in the list for
IMAPI-CD-BURNING COM SERVICE
make sure there is a tick make in that box
if there is not
put a tick make in the box
then click on apply & ok
then restart the pc
when your back at the desktop
a box will pop up click on
downt show this again then click ok
now if there is a tick in that box just click on the condel tab at the bottom
and try a music cd in the drive that is not working if the music cd's dont work your need to just buy a new one
