Yea so my question is is it safe to increase ram latency in bios or would it just break the computer because it would get unstable?

Increase the ram latency will slow the performance. Why would you do that ? even though it won't damage the memory or CPU.

Read the motherboard manual, a decent motherboard has a way to recope from bad cmos setting. Make sure you know how to recover that before you try.

If the latency setting is not supported by the chip, it will probably cause it to be unstable.
