Charlie Brown - like in his Halloween special. Make a ghost costume out of a sheet, cut many holes in it and carry a sack with a rock in it. Tell everyone, "I got a rock".

Be a tree. wear brown, wrinkly material/paper bag as in a dress. Paint your face brown, put a lot of hairspray: make hair stand up and out in "twiglike" strands and hang leaves on it or you can paint your hair green and make it look full with leaves in it. I haven't tried this yet but I will someday.
