u kno, ive been pondering about this question for a while....
its not gonna be shaun....one season isnt enough to prove himself
LJ....theres hope, if the cheifs do well
same goes with LT
eli....still needs to prove himself
any rookie...vince wasnt that good in the preseason opener....reggie will win ROY but isnt good enough for mvp...leinart might not even play....
peyton is good, but my 6th sense tells me he wont have a stellar season...
so who else is there left?
my choice is for carson palmer
after leading the nfl last yr in TD passes, i believe that the bengals r really becoming an elite team in the nfl. with the best WR in the nfl chad johnson, im predicting a breakout season for him!

I say Shaun Alexander repeats. The seahawks bring virtually all of their starters back, save Hutchinson. Yes, i know that is a huge loss to the offensive line, but i still think alexander can do it. Everyone is expecting a down year, and i agree that he wont score 28 touchdowns again, but i think he'll still have a fantastic year, and be the MVP again. Peyton manning of course is the other logical choice but while everyone points out that without edge he'll be passing more, you also have to remember that defenses will be able to pay a LOT more attention to Peyton than in previous seasons. People dont realize how much defenses had to worry about Edge, and how much he really opened things up for Peyton. I think the colts wont win as many games as they did last year and while peyton will throw for tons of TDs, he'll see a big increase in his INTs too.

Last year my Panther's Steve Smith was barely edged out by Shaun Alexander, but this year with Keyshawn Johnson and Keary Colbert taking away some of his double and triple cover, Smith has another shot at it.

But it'll most likely go to a QB or a RB...lame...so probably Carson Palmer or Larry Johnson

(For graffiti62, Roethlisberger has a very very small shot at getting MVP, he doesn't have the numbers or the offense to make MVP status..numbers seem to be what they look for, and he wont have them. It's Pittsburgh's defense that wins games for them, Ben just provides the small amount of offense needed to win games.)

Ladainian Tomlinson. It's as simple as this. With Rivers being a first-year starter, he'll hand the ball off to LT alot. Also, LT will be like his 2nd best passing option after Gates. LT will win the MVP because he will get lots of touches and we've seen what LT does when he touches the ball.

I think it'll be Big Benny Roethlisberger. He's coming along at an outstanding pace and is gaining confidence as a team leader. I think this upcoming season is going to go well for him, and with the Bus gone, he'll be the driving force behind a big Steelers season. And even when he's trying to show hapiness when the award comes in, Bill Cowher will still looked pissed off.

the MVP this year will be Peyton Manning.

With Edge out of the picture Peyton will throw a bunch more and should come close to the stats that he had 2 years ago when he broke the passing TD record.

Either Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, or LaDainian Tomlinson. It will probably be a QB since the QB is the most import player and maked the most plays. LT has people watching him alot. The winner probably wont be a WR since they dont do as much as a RB or a QB.

Donovan McNabb- He will lead the eagles back to the top of the NFC East and with subpar talent around him he will be the MVP
