There is no doubt a power struggle going on within the Democrat party. There is an especially huge division over the 08 presidential nominee. The far left dailykos types who got Lamont the Dem nomination in CT despise Hillary and her pro-war stance and her recent moderation on abortion. The rest of the party continues to support her, but they do not have the money and the passion of the extreme fringe. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the next couple of years.

It seems that the honchos in the Democratic party, especially Howard Dean, will only back candidates that are so far left that the mainstream public doesn't like voting for them.

Lieberman is a season politician with lots of sense. Hillary I'm not so sure of. She may be cultivating a centrist position just to get elected.

The answer as I see it is confusing. There exist a sect in the Democratic Party came to be as cause and effect to a very conservative sect in the Republican Party and now it seems that it is spiraling out of control. The real danger here is who will be left to balance the growing faith-base conservative power on the right?

That's the problem with the Democrats, they can't agree on anything. I'd love to see them come up with a good candidate, but they can't find one, because they sit around waiting to hear what will get them elected. I could tell them what would get them elected. Do what is best for legal Americans. The middle class is going under. None of them know what it's like to live on under $50,000. today. Secure our borders, support our border patrol and stop drugs and illegals getting into the country. Put a stop on billion dollar profits on, Electric, Gas, Oil, Drugs, Health care. Look out for America first. We elect a president to be, president of America, not of the world.

Somewhat, but that is more the propaganda spread by Fox News more than anything. Joe Leiberman more or less turned on the Democrat party first, he sometimes goes with them but more often than not he goes republican. So that is more just going with the person who fits in better with the basic philosophies and patterns of the Democratic party in Ned Lamont.

Attacks on Hilary Clinton focus more on her pro-war status, not on Hilary Clinton herself. And in truth she has more support in the Demcratic party than Fox news would have you believe. She is actually in the lead right now for Democratic primary for president (though that is so far away still there is a good chance that could change). But the Democratic party hasn't turned on Hilary yet. Avoid Fox News, its blatantly crazy and they make no secret about that. I would recommend more CNN, they try to be fair. If you really still feel that the majority of Media is liberal (there is proof against it but I it is too long for me to want to go into it right now), then go with MSNBC. They are more or less center with just a twinge of rightwing, but they are more or less truly fair and not just another branch of rightwing ultracrazy like Fox News is.

Cannot get by in this world just by attacking the President. The democrats need a program and solutions and have not had a new idea in forty years

The Demoncrap party can not turn on itself as they have no plan to turn on. Just hate, fear and intolerance to varied opinion. Might as well be a Muslim fascist as a democrat. Fascist/democrat same thing.

Nope, just dropping the easy targets. Need new faces and new people. As long as the republican party keep putting these standouts in the cross hairs, they need to be quieted and controlled. The party is looking to make ground in the mid-term and need to take as much ammo away from Repulicans as they can.

Because they know that there is not one single democrat who is a viable candidate for the 2008 election. So they are fighting with each other because that's all they have left to do.

It maybe, but politics in general try to undermine each others efforts. My advice is to do you own research and find someone who you believe in and supports your beliefs. It may be someone of a different party , I don't care, I want you to be able to voice your opinion, the foundation for which this country was built around.
