I get more family sick than home sick. My parents dont live where I grew up anymore and havent for years. Since they live clear across the country from where we were and I never lived in that particular house, I dont get homesick because there is nothing for me anymore up where I call home. I do, however, miss my family terribly but we're all scattered to the 4 corners of the country.

yes I do, although I try not to think about it too much and start doing something else just to keep my mind busy. The worst things are around here, the more homesick I get. I have days when the only thing I want is to get on a plane, and other when I can't stand being on the phone with my mom for more than 10 minutes.

Last year I was sent away on business for a week. It was the first time I was ever away from my Husband for more than 2 days since we meet. To say I was homesick would be an understatement.

Of course I do.But hang in there if i'm not mistaken you seem to be deployed overseas. The tendency to want home is seeming monumental right now.But you are there for a nessary cause.Which is the love of your family and country. And for their protection. The time will soon come for your homebound flight and all will be well for you. It's a given. And you earned the right to never have to leave home again unless it's of your choosing.Have a great day!

Absolutely ... but I get homesick for the people, not the place. My family and best friends live in New Zealand, and I live in Massachusetts with my husband and children.

No, I live in Florida and have NO family here and I love it that way. Don't get me wrong I care for some of my family and get a bit lonely over the holidays, but I don't need to live in the same state with them, lol...

For heaven, yes a lot. For the place I grew up, yes, though not as much as I used to. I'll move back there one day. I grew up in Washington and have been in Florida now for six years. I've learned to appreciate rain and clouds.... ;)

Yes, I moved to Arkansas with my husband, and left my friends in Wichita, Ks. I miss them terribly. I look at a lot of pictures, and make a lot of phone calls.Hang in there, and remember This to Shall Pass.
