The big piece of missing information here is how long he's incarcerated for - the longer it is the more difficult it'll be, basically.
But ignore these guys who are saying you don't want to be with a criminal under any circumstances. It totally depends what he did and why he did it - what's crucial is that you be truly honest with yourself about what kind of guy he really is and why you're compelled to be with him. Oftentimes we're attracted to people for a range of destructive reasons, an example of which is protecting ourselves by picking a partner that is emotionally unavailable, and who better for that role than a guy in prison? - you need to figure out why and if you want to pursue the relationship.

It depends on the seriousness of the crime and the amount of time that he has to do. You can't live your life loving someone who may spend the rest of his life in jail for something that he did because it's not fair to you and if you have children its not fair to them either. But on the other hand if he has less than 6 months to do if you really love him then you can wait. It doesn't matter what we think anyway. In the end the decision is up to you.

Depends if you are going to be faithful to him. Also what exactly is he incarcerated for. If it is anything about a DUI or like to many speeding tickets then I would say. Do you really want to be with him?

Honestly, for your own good I hope not. I know you've been with him for 4 yrs but you dont want to spend your life with someone who does things that they need to be incarcerated for. Life's too short.

You may need to check your astrology for that answer. If YOU want to stay together, then that will happen. I would recommend that you both straiten your act out, or that you start fishing for someone you won't have to get seached to visit.

well, that depends...for how long he will be there? and the most important...why is he there for?? Love yourself, you don't need a criminal as a boyfriend, sure you love him and of course he will wait for you until he gets out...(he doesn't have anyone inside to cheat with) , but may be you can find someone better than him.

He will want to stay with you because he is locked up and you know where he is at 24/7 and he doesn't know what you are doing.
