In order to use a phone, you have to have some kind of service. I suggest going to Best Buy, Radio Shack, or cell phone provider store, and getting a pre-paid phone. This way you can have a fixed amount on it each month and if you go over then it shuts down. My best friend had one for awhile when she was tight on money and said that it helped her out a lot. Good luck!!

If you already have service, your best bet is Ebay. I bought 2 phones off there and they work great... otherwise, find a company that is compatible with your phone service... sometimes cell phone dealers have extra phones or phones that people have returned without anything wrong... just ask the business

If you mean a cell, pick up a Tracfone from Wal_Mart. They have a nice Nokia one for $20. This is a prepaid phone, you buy your minutes as you need them. I might spend $15 a month for my air time.
