The greatest thing about race and culture is the ability to create a style. Fortunately for "black people" we create style that other culture end up copying.
The style of a tshirt of the head and a baseball hat is nothing but trying to create attention to one self or simply not caring what people think. I think the best thing is to ask a black person why they do that. I am really sure they will tell you.

I find it funny that you think all black people do this. Who are these black people you refer to and where are you hanging out? What would be even funnier is if a black person tried to answer your question - as if they could speak for the entire "black community". Good luck with that.

I think the question should be rephrased. I don't think african american people are the only ones that do that. Matter of fact I know. And basically if you are going to ask something like this why not ask why do people wear the stuff they do. Cause that is basically what you are asking.

my brother does too, hes not black.....
the slaves brought that style with them from their native lands
hip hop artists such as 2Pac, LL Cool J, Ja Rule, 50 Cent and Nelly have helped popularize do-rags among mainstream audiences by incorporating them in their dress

You people are so stero types-whites do that fashon too...
And they where it that way because they can.
There are different reasons why people where it that way-but their reasons aren't all the same reason. And not all blacks where that fashon and/or cornrolls etheir.
