My mom is the executrix for her mothers estate/will. She wanted to know how much she could get compensated for for all of her work. Also, can the accountant helping out with the estate be compensated also? Thank you for your help in this matter!

An executrix (yes, this is the correct word, it's the feminine version) is not necessarily compensated for their work on the estate unless she is perhaps a lawyer retained by the family or the person who died. The accountant most likely charges some sort of fees for their services, unless again it just happens to be someone in your family who is doing this out of the kindness of their heart.

I think you mean the executor of the estate? Anyways different states vary differently. I would ask the accountant for his/her knowledge of the legalities. Of course the accountant gets compensated! They don't work for free even if they were family!
