use microsoft paint to open if all else fails (right click on the image and choose program to open it with try microsoft picture viewer or any web browser first, then try ms paint)what OS are you using?, windows?(xp,95,98????) or mac

I don't get the question.
If there is nothing on your screen, you may check the following:
- verify your screen is plugged and the power is on,
- check the video cable,
- if your video card has 2 connectors, try them both,
- check the video connector that no pins are bent,
- Does the computer emit some sounds when it starts?
If your screen is working but you can't see a picture, either the file is corrupted or you don't have the software to see it. Download Picassa or Xnview for free.

Click on tools, internet options, go to the advanced tab, click on that, and about halfway down, make sure there is a checkmark, by "show pictures"..If there is not a checkmark there, put one, and then click on apply, then ok..
