With the right software, you can make it look like an email came from any email address you want.

I usually forward them to the spoof account on yahoo and mark them spam. I have gone in and filtered a lot of it out like those from Kenya. Lottery's and asking for money.

I believe Yahoo sells the right to spam us to any company willing to pay.
Example: Notice how you can put classmates.com on your spam list and yet it never goes into your spam folder?

because yahoo offers free accounts and it's easy to sign up for new account if your old one gets deleted.
