aim, aol instant messenger.
to stop it go to the screen list name and then click my aim--> preferences-->sounds and then disable all of them.

The opening and shutting sound is coming from a messenger service wether it be yahoo msn or aol. You DONT have to uninstall it you can turn off or change the sound in your preferences.

The opening/shutting door sound is probably from AOL Instant Messenger. Just uninstall it and you will not hear it anymore.

It probably is from an instant messaging service. If you don't use the instant messenger, uninstall it. Or if you do use it, check under preferences and don't have it play any sounds.

You have set your computer where if someone on your buddy list signs on or off, you will hear that sound. To stop this sound, change your preference. If you don't want to, turn off the speaker.

Sounds like it is AIM. Go into preferences and sounds, and turn it off. Or, you could just uninstall it.

probably yahoo messenger
just turn volume off. or shut it off :P
