Washington had several problems at Boston in 1775-1776 including:

1. Poor command of the high ground.

2. Not enough cannons and other heavy weapons.

3. Many civilians living in Boston.

4. Poorly trained and organized soldiers.

5. Experienced and well-equipped opponent.

Washington eventually drove the British out of Boston but it took time, planning and some amazing heroics from the likes of Henry Knox. Read the book "1776"... it will really put all this into perspective and it is an excellent book.

This reads like a homework assignment!

Why not read your text book and find out on your own?
You could also Google this and do some research on line.

Good luck!
