Hendrix, Trower, Page, et al were all Legendary but you limit your list to one genre.
There were so many great guitarists, many of whom are still around, that inspired the Clapton's, and Jeff Becks, that you leave out by narrowing your list to a few Legends. For example:
Wes Montgomery, Tal Farlow, Phil Upchurch, George Benson, Brian Setzer, Chuck Berry, Kenny Burrell, Carl Perkins, Charlie Christian, Freddie King, Stanley Jordan, Barney Kessel, Luther Allison, Carlos Santana, Django Reinhardt, Jimmie Vaughan, Joe Satriani, John Scofield, Cutis Mayfield, John McLaughlin, Al DiMeola, Muddy Waters, Hubert Sumlin, Duke Robillard, Buddy Guy, Joe Pass, Freddie Roulette, Les Paul, Herb Ellis, Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and T-Bone Walker. Just to barely scratch the surface.

Brian May had an uncanny sense of melody, Larry Carlton brought jazz to the pop world, EVH debuted in 78 and shook up the guitar world, B.B. King was smooth, Allen Collins played like a mofo, Neal Schon debuted in his teens with Santana (and smoked), Duane Allman made his guitar cry, Tony Iommi set the foundation for metal, Ace Frehley made me want to pick up the guitar, Al DiMeola still has the most incredible chops, and George Harrison was the musical chameleon.

I wouldn't put Peter Frampton in the same setntence as Jimi, but I love Jimi and Eric Clapton. Pete Townshed was awesome as well.

To add. Alex lifeson Uli roth Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Shenker, And plenty of killer bands. Heart, Thin Lizzy, Nazareth.

IMO. There are two types of guitar players. Shredders, and Riff Masters. Any player could be both. Helps to give credit where it is due.
